Your music. Your tempo. Your competition practice.
Dancefloor JukeBox turns your own music library into a practice tool for ballroom and Latin dancers. Slow a song down to learn new choreography, then build up to competition speed. Run realistic competition rounds with timed heats, fades and walk-in music, all from your iPhone or iPad.
Practice at your own pace
• Change the tempo, keep the pitch. Slow tracks down to 50 % or speed them up to 150 %, with no „chipmunk“ effect.
• Built for the ten competition dances. Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep, plus Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive. Assign playlists to each dance and switch between Ballroom and Latin with one tap, each with its own playlists and app icon.
• Metronome and BPM detection. Add a metronome with the right tempo for the dance, and let the app measure a song’s BPM or enter it yourself.
• Song notes, tags and favorites. Mark what works for beginners, technique or tournament practice.
Competition Training
Simulate a real competition from start to finish.
• Set the number of heats, the length of each dance and the pauses between them, with quick presets for common formats.
• Intro, intermission and outro music. Choose a specific song for the walk-in, between dances and for the finale, and set how long each one plays.
• Smooth fade-ins and fade-outs at the end of every dance, based on the volume you are actually hearing.
• Manual planning. Pick a song for every dance and heat, and choose the exact excerpt with a waveform view.
• Same music for all heats, or let the app pick songs at random. It can prefer songs whose tempo fits the dance.
• Daily list. Songs you already played today are not repeated.
• Presets. Save your whole setup under a name and load it again later.
• Full-screen timer that is easy to read from across the floor, in portrait and landscape.
• Apple Watch remote. See the title and remaining time, and play, pause, skip or stop from your wrist.
Your music, your way
Play songs from your Apple Music library, or import folders with audio files from iCloud Drive, the Files app, a USB stick or a ZIP file. Imported music can be stored in the app, so you can unplug the stick and keep practicing.
Note: tempo control, waveform view and clip selection need songs that are available as files on your device. Apple Music streaming tracks are copy-protected; they play normally, but without tempo control.
Keep track of your training
A built-in training calendar records every session with date, duration, dances and, if you like, the place. Save your regular training locations such as studio, club house or competition floor, and the app recognizes them. Location is used only on your device and only if you allow it.
Private by design
No account, no ads, no tracking and no cloud. Everything stays on your device. If you want to support further development, there is an optional small tip in the app, with no subscription and nothing locked behind it.
